The Company

Founded in 1994, Les Industries Méta-For Inc. started its activities as a manufacturer of metal sheets, offering laser and shears cutting and press-bending services. In the course of the following years, the company has been progressing on a continuous pace, while winning its clients’ trust.

At the end of the 90s, desirous of constantly providing the best service to its clientele, Méta-For decided to make significant investments with the relocation of its activities. The company then settled in its own installations located in the Terrebonne Industrial Park, next to the main trunk roads of the area, the 640, 40 and 15 highways.

Some new pieces of equipment were acquired to complete such a major investment: new press-brakes, one of which is of a capacity of 500 tons on 20 feet; a second 4000-watt laser-cutter; some new angle-iron rollers, as well as a first CNC tubing bender.

Since this relocation, the company has extended its installations, and has acquired two other new plants in Terrebonne and Mascouche, to finally reach a total area of 50 000 s.f. (4 645 s.m.).

Over the years, some other major investments were made to improve Méta-For’s impressive equipment park, to make the most of a market that requires reliable service on the latest industrial equipment and large-capacity machinery:

A new 1 250 tons on 24 feet press-brake, an impressive 8’’ x 8’’ x ¾’’ angle-iron roller, two 1’’ and ½’’-thick plate roller (the longest of which is of 16’ 3’’), as well as three CNC tubing benders. Today, such acquisitions enable the company to offer its clients a wide-range of value-added outsourced service, for the manufacturing of metal products of the highest quality, at the most reasonable costs.

Mr. Marc Forest, Méta-For owner, is a proud industry leader, as well as a visionary businessman. He knew how to prepare his company to meet the challenges of the years 2000, and to seize the opportunities brought by the development of the Northern Quebec area (Plan Nord).

Méta-For is now in a position to take up such challenges, since it can already offer many sustainable developmental solutions to its business partners.
